BMS Commissioning Manager- London

Job Holder’s Primary Objectives 

The role of our commissioning engineers is to see that building services systems will be, are or have been put to work properly and in accordance with relevant requirements. Determining that this is the case could be achieved through any of the following:

  • Managing the commissioning process
  • Validating that the commissioning process and seeing that results obtained align with requirements
  • Inspecting existing systems to determine how they perform
  • Providing consultative advice in determining commissioning and performance requirements, commissioning strategies, programmes, scopes of work and the like.
  • Carrying out measurements, surveys and other technical inspections

Additionally, at all times:

  • Engaging with other members of the Company to help improve existing systems and procedures
  • Talking the role of Champion in an area of specific technical interest
  • To promote the company and the wider group through marketing activities.

Immediate Start

Working hours are Monday – Friday – 40 hours per week.

Rail Sector Lead- London

An opportunity has arisen for a Rail Sector Lead to join our Blackfriars office to further develop, lead and manage success in the Rail Sector for Andrew Reid.

Job Holder’s Primary Objectives

  1. To see that our commitments to our clients are delivered on time to requisite levels of detail and quality.
  2. To identify new business opportunities and secure new clients.
  3. To be abreast of the Rail Sector’s strategic direction and initiatives and to form a 3-year plan that sees Andrew Reid  secure progressive business with new and existing clients.
  4. Have a thorough understanding of the Rail Sector MEP standards and governance. Specifically focused on MEP Commissioning, Design, Asset Management, Documentation and any new initiatives.
  5. Ensuring that  projects are delivered to profit & cash targets and meet client expectations.
  6. Developing an experienced and motivated team, including the  identification, interview and recruitment of new engineers/technicians to deliver projects.

Further Objectives

To ensure projects are commercial assured and operationally efficient. Meaning that contracts have been commercially vetted and approved and individual projects are contractually managed against our agreed scope of works. During delivery make sure they also meet margin and cash flow expectations.

To assist in developing and implementing an innovative strategy, focusing on new clients and segments within the rail sector.

To ensure that:

  • Profitable business growth is maintained and improved as targets may dictate.
  • Project commercial planning and execution is diligently and accurately undertaken

The candidate has accountability, responsibility and ownership for the Rail sector aspects of the business in its delivery of the following criteria:

  • Cash flow
  • Maximising turnover opportunities
  • Margin
  • Project delivery

Commercial Lead- London

Job Holder’s Primary Objectives

To develop, lead and manage all commercial activities of the business.

To ensure current projects are commercial assured.  Meaning that contracts have been commercially vetted and approved and individual projects are contractually managed against our agreed scope of works.  During delivery make sure they also meet margin and cash flow expectations.

To assist in developing and implementing an innovative commercial strategy, focusing on new clients and wider markets.

To ensure that:

  • Profitable business growth is maintained and improved as targets may dictate.
  • Project commercial planning and execution is diligently and accurately undertaken

 The candidate has accountability, responsibility and ownership for the financial aspects of the business in its delivery of the following criteria:

  • Cash flow
  • Maximising turnover opportunities
  • Margin

Commissioning Project Lead

We are currently looking for an experienced Commissioning Engineer or Manager to join Andrew Reid as a Commissioning Project Lead. The successful candidate will lead a team on a major project or a series of projects.

Job Holder’s Primary Objectives

  • To see that our commitments to our clients are delivered on time to requisite levels of detail and quality.
  • To lead a team of engineers or managers in delivering our project obligations.
  • To take responsibility for financial performance of the project(s)
  • Managing the commissioning process.
  • Validating the commissioning process and seeing that results obtained align with requirements.
  • Inspecting existing systems to determine how they perform.
  • Providing consultative advice in determining commissioning and performance requirements, commissioning strategies, programmes, scopes of work and the like.
  • Carrying out measurements, surveys and other technical inspections.
