Ryan Hughes Shortlisted for CIBSE ASHRAE Graduate of the Year Award
Congratulations to HDR | Andrew Reid Commissioning Manager, Ryan Hughes, who has been shortlisted for the CIBSE ASHRAE Graduate of the Year Award 2019.
Now in its 24th year, the CIBSE Young Engineers Awards celebrate the best young engineering talent in the industry. Ryan is one of eight finalists presenting to panel of industry professionals at the Awards evening, on Thursday 10th October 2019 at the Institution of Mechanical Engineers in London, in the hope of winning the sought-after accolade of Graduate of the Year and an all-expenses paid trip to the ASHRAE Winter Meeting in Orlando, Florida.
Ryan started his engineering career in building services for CML before joining HDR | Andrew Reid. He has worked on high profile projects such as the Bloomberg Building and the Tate Modern extension and recently achieved his HNC in Building Services Engineering at City of Westminster College.
Speaking at the news of his nomination, Ryan said: “I’m very proud to be shortlisted for the CIBSE Graduate of The Year Award, I have to say I did not expect it at all! I want to thank Louise Bailey and Joe Pitt for their help getting me this far and I’m hoping I can deliver an effective and professional presentation on Thursday night”.
