Shirley Sherwood Gallery of Botanical Art at Kew gets a helping hand

AR&P have been appointed as Services Consultant to Kew Gardens to assist with reconfiguring the HVAC services that serve the award winning Shirley Sherwood Gallery, nestling in the historic grounds of the Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew. Although only 5 years old, the Shirley Sherwood Gallery had been suffering with temperature and humidity instability, so in February this year, AR&P reviewed the design and suggested a major redesign be carried out to the plant and controls, which is now underway. Completion of the works is due at the end of April. Look out for further updates.

Since completion, comments have included, “It’s much improved in the gallery and very comfortable to work in – thanks for all your help…” and “…Everyone agrees this is the most stable the conditions have ever been.”

A case study is being prepared and will shortly appear on this website.
