HDR | Andrew Reid’s Commercial team is delighted to be working with the developer Ballymore and EcoWorld on the landmark Wardian London development in London’s Canary Wharf.
Wardian London comprises two residential towers of 55 and 50-storeys which contain 766 homes including suites, one and two-bedroom apartments and penthouses. The iconic residential towers land onto a two-storey podium, housing a grand lobby, gym, swimming pool, cinema, a restaurant and retail outlets.
Designed in collaboration with Glenn Howells architects, Wardian London was inspired by the English doctor and explorer Dr Nathaniel Bagshaw Ward who invented the Wardian Case, used to transport plants around the world at the height of the British Empire. The central focus of the development is a stunning Sky Garden on the 53rd floor and double-height atrium filled with exotic plants in steel, glass and bronze Wardian cases – offering the residents a tranquil green oasis in one of London’s business commercial neighbourhoods.
Wardian London is currently under construction and is set to complete in 2020.
